💥 Future of Work is Here. AI and ChatBots are likely to revolutionize HR in many positive ways—Josh Bersin (Feb 2023)

In Josh Bersin Academy’s recent newsletter, Josh recommends how you (HR Leaders) can prepare for the long view.

  • “Schedule time to focus on your learning and development goals. Create a list of realistic immediate initiatives and identify some longer-term intentions. The goal should be to keep up with the HR news of the day without it derailing your broader professional development mission.” Josh Bersin

💥 As HR is revolutionized positively, will traditional instructor-led and online learning prepare HR for AI’s quiet tsunami revolutionizing work?

Let us find a learning approach that offers HR leaders credibility and a technological edge by keeping them up-to-date with advancing technology.

To help make this debate more concrete, we ask that all participants review the following available learning programs:

  1. JBA Program that has a Certificate: HR in the Age of AI | Josh Bersin Academy (5-6 hours over five weeks)
  2. AIHR Online Course: ChatGPT for HR (3 hours over nine weeks)

In this first ELE Online Debate, we will split into two groups. Our ELE Producers will conduct a group debate on Zoom by:

  1. Introducing the topic. All debates start with a topic or resolution.
  2. Assign the Affirmative and the Negative. There are two sides to any debate.  Attendees can participate or observe but can’t switch sides.
  3. Keep Track of Time.
  4. Make a Judgment.

During this debate, we will ask each group to support their side on questions such as:

  1. Should companies require HR staff to receive specific AI & ChatGPT training to support a company’s digital strategy?
  2. Do companies understand the AI & ChatGPT skills and knowledge that HR staff must acquire to support a digital transformation?
  3. Do HR practitioners possess the skill and will need to complete certification programs that would support a digital transformation?
  4. Are companies responsible for encouraging HR staff to update their AI & ChatGPT skills and knowledge to support their digital strategy?
  5. Should companies allow HR staff to pursue certification as a part of their regular day-to-day responsibilities (as opposed to on their own time, outside of the 8 AM – 5 PM workday)?
