The Executive Learning Exchange coordinates F2F (in-person & virtual) experiences throughout the year designed to provide more in-depth understanding of a variety of focused concentrations. Each of these two afternoon sessions is an opportunity to collaborate with our peers based in Asia. Session Focuses:
  1. UL's Global Leader Program (GLP)
  2. Using a Growth Mindset to Lead Change Management
UL has promoted safe living and working environments since 1894. Today, UL has become far more and is rapidly expanding its services and global footprint. As shared by Jim Graber in Chief Learning Officer magazine, UL’s Unique Look at Development, annually three cohorts of 25 to 30 individuals each participate in GLP. They are based on a track record of high performance and diversity of divisions and location. Global Leader Program ULU Workshop activities and an interactive peer-discussion will dig deeper into these takeaways for UL GLP participants:
  • Bonding and building a global network of meaningful relationships with UL leaders around the world, and enhancing each individual’s sense of belonging at UL.
  • Taking increasing ownership, thinking of themselves as leaders.
  • Learning to work effectively with people across different countries and time zones
Why a Growth Mindset is Good for Business The defining belief of a growth mindset is that one’s abilities are not static and can be developed over time. People with a growth mindset tend to focus on a process of continuous improvement rather looking intelligent or saving face. A fixed mindset can inhibit our personal growth. Cigna's customers are at the center of everything they do. The Cigna mission – to improve the health, well-being and peace of mind of those we serve – drives and supports their organization’s customer-centricity strategy of Go Deep. Go Global. Go Individual. Rachael Orleans will dig into Cigna’s business case for change, how their change management program works and the impact of the program on our readiness as an organization to meet the future needs of their agile business model where we plan to cover
  • What is the basis for our resistance to change?
  • What are best practices when implementing a change that has been handed down to you from higher level executives you should do?
  • How do avoid common mistake leaders make during a change initiative?
