TIP 1: SEARCH FIRST

Type the word or phrase you are curious about in the Title and see what might be available already. You might be surprised!

TIP 2: BE SPECIFIC

Add enough to the title to help people identify and discuss your idea. We don’t want to stifle creativity. We want to help people find information faster, and the more clear the title, the easier it is for people to identify whether or not they want to read more.

TIP 3: ADD VALUE

The Idea Exchange is a great place to explore ideas and get suggestions. That means some people will think some questions are ridiculous. Ask anyway. However, there is a purpose to this site. ELE exists to reduce the distance between your question and the answer you need to improve business impact. By applying a few of these tips, we can do that even better.

TIP 4: INCLUDE TAGS

When you are adding a discussion to the Idea Exchange, you’ll notice a box labeled “Tags.” That box will enable you to “Tag” your discussion, which helps people search for it. Entering a few tags, each separated with commas, that directly relate to your discussion are best. This little bit of extra effort will help make searches more effective in the future. We may do a little maintenance on tags from time to time to help with this.
