Joseph is a member of the Resident Faculty at Depaul University's School for New Learning (SNL). A licensed clinical psychologist, he works with individuals and groups to make adaptive changes that promote success. His areas of focus range from short-term, goal-specific behavioral changes including enhancing performance, building life skills, career transitioning, and increasing interpersonal effectiveness to longer-term, growth-focused change including relationship dynamics, decreasing maladaptive tendencies, and internalizing adaptive, new mental models. As an educator, his courses include topics such as understanding the change process, conducting research, and examining brain functioning. His research interests focus around a simple question, "Why did you do that?" He is a member of the Diversity and Social Justice Committee at SNL providing leadership in the areas of inclusion, training, and development.

Jeff Childs, senior vice president and chief human resources officer, is responsible for hiring great leaders and associates, developing their skills, providing them with the proper tools and removing unnecessary distractions so that they can deliver the ideal customer experience to U.S. Cellular customers.

With more than 28 years of diverse experience in sales, marketing, operations and human resources, Childs joined U.S. Cellular in January 2004 and oversees all human resource related activities including hiring and organizational development within the corporation. Adhering to the overall U.S. Cellular philosophy that strong leadership drives associate satisfaction - which in turn leads to strong customer satisfaction - Childs develops and implements specific initiatives that provide enhanced training and development for all associates.

Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, Childs was a senior partner with Brimstone Consulting Group, LLC where he was responsible for providing leadership, change management and business consulting services to senior-level executives. Previously, Childs served as a key leader in the transformation of the human resources department at Ameritech/SBC.

Mr. Clare is author of the book Knowledge Assets and the Cognitive Design Blog. He holds two patents in artificial intelligence and knowledge management. Before starting New Value Streams, Mark Clare held many technical and several executive positions including vice president of Parkview Health. He is an adjunct instructor at Northwestern, where he teaches, with an emphasis on applied cognitive science, in the learning and organizational change and medical informatics programs. Mr. Clare holds an MS in physics, an MA in philosophy, and is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt.

He is an international speaker on leadership and learning strategies, and a contributing author to 'Next Generation Corporate Universities', published by Pfieffer Publishing, a division John Wiley and Sons, Inc. He has also written numerous articles on strategic learning and leadership.

Ed's background includes eight years with Booz Allen Hamilton, a global strategy and management consulting firm.

He was founder and strategic leader of what became one of the world's most widely recognized corporate universities. During Ed Cohen's tenure, Booz Allen received more than 30 "Excellence in Practice" recognitions from American Society for Training & Development.

Ed lives in India with his wife and daughter.
